Before learning about Hi-vote, it’s useful to just go through some of the common terms used in this course so that you have a better understanding of what’s being covered.
- Browser or Web-Browser – The programme you use to browse the internet. Common programmes include Internet Explorer (Also know as IE), Google Chrome, Firefox & Safari.
- Header & Footer – A webpage, much like a normal written page, also has a header and footer. The header is at the top and the footer is at the bottom. The header and footer of a web-page will be the same on each page of the website.
- Tab – Most modern browsers allow you to open several web-pages at once, which are organised into tabs at the top of the page.
- Menu – The main way of navigating around a web-site. The main menu is commonly located at the top of the web-page and will contain links to common areas of the site.
